Use Case Model

A Use Case Model is a purpose-specific Model that represents why users or external parties use a system and the Scenarios and expected Outcomes through which their Goals are achieved, using Actors, Goals, Use Cases, Scenarios, and Outcomes.

A SimpleModeling Model is composed of Object, Knowledge, and Literate Models. A Use Case Model is not an additional constituent; it is an applied Model that organizes the required Model Elements from the three constituents for the Purpose and Concerns of user intent. Use Case Scenarios are expressed primarily in the Literate Model, while identifiers, relationships, and Constraints map to Object and Knowledge Model elements.

A Use Case Model supplies user Goals and required business meaning to Domain Modeling, and supplies Scenarios and Outcomes to be realized to Application Modeling. It is not transformed directly from CML into programs; it maps to an Application Model through a Use Case Realization Model.
