DEFINITION

A Use Case Scenario is a Narrative and Literate Model that organizes one Story for achieving an Actor’s Goal from the user’s perspective as events, actions, branches, and successful or failed Outcomes between the Actor and the subject system.

SimpleModeling

A Use Case Scenario is expressed primarily in natural language and shared among developers, non-developers, and generative AI. AI may propose candidate Execution Example and Executable Models from the Scenario, while people review their meaning and mappings.

Boundary

  • A Use Case Scenario is not itself the formal Execution Example Model describing Interactions among Objects.

  • One Scenario path does not by itself exhaust all Behavior admitted by a Use Case.
