Lifecycle

A Lifecycle is the range of States and Transitions through which a subject passes, while retaining its Identity, from creation to termination.

SimpleModeling makes the permitted States, Operations, Transitions, and termination conditions of Entity Objects and execution elements explicit as a Lifecycle. A Lifecycle may be represented by a StateMachine, but it is not synonymous with the StateMachine notation itself.
